Taking the office on holiday

There's no doubt that mobile phones, laptops, blackberries and the like have their good points but a recent survey highlights the price we pay for always being connected.

Of 300 City workers questioned by IT security outfit Credant, a depressing 65% say they'll contact the office by phone, text or e-mail whilst on their summer holidays.

Over a quarter will check their e-mail at least once a day and one in three plans to take their laptop with them.

So, are you unable to switch off and relax, paranoid that colleagues will muscle in on your territory when your back is turned?

Maybe you're on a beach right now and couldn't resist checking Finextra to see what's going on in the world of fintech?
