There's no doubt that mobile phones, laptops, blackberries and the like have their good points but a recent survey highlights the price we pay for always being connected.
Of 300 City workers questioned by IT security outfit Credant, a depressing 65% say they'll contact the office by phone, text or e-mail whilst on their summer holidays.
Over a quarter will check their e-mail at least once a day and one in three plans to take their laptop with them.
