Norwegian card issuer Teller - formerly Visa Norge - has signed a two year contract worth NKr17 million with EDB Business Partner for the processing of Visa and MasterCard transactions.
Teller has recently expanded its Norwegian operations to include processing for MasterCard transactions alongside Visa payments.
Under the deal, EDB's bank and finance division will supply software for the receipt and processing of MasterCard and Visa transactions, as well as billing and settlement for Teller's 55,000 merchant outlets in Norway. Operating services will be supplied by EDB Teamco.
Morten Gulbæk, deputy managing director, Teller, says merchants can now access both Visa and MasterCard services from a single supplier: "The services that EDB provides allow us to realise our multi-brand strategy. The solutions are already in use, and we are seeing a good response from the market."
