UK electronic bill payment operator PayPoint is to enter the independent ATM market after signing a £4 million deal with NCR for cash machine hardware and services.
PayPoint says the EasyPoint 53 ATMs will be offered to its 10,500 retail agents, as well as other independent retailers and convenience chains.
According to NCR customer feedback, stores with ATMs can attract on average 11% more customers than stores without cash machines. Retailers also benefit from increased local spending.
