Under the agreement, CSC will assume responsibility for Maybank's mainframe, midrange, desktop, help-desk and network infrastructure in both Malaysia and Singapore. As a result, approximately 320 Maybank employees are expected to transfer to CSC.

CSC will provide services primarily through its affiliates in the area, Computer Systems Advisers, Berhad and CSA Automated.

Datuk Amirsham A Aziz, president and chief executive officer, Maybank, says the deal will "allow us to focus more of our energy and resources into our core business and competencies."
