Computer Sciences Corporation has promoted Steve Mitchener to president, Financial Services Group for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
Previously vice president of business development, products and solutions for Emea, Mitchener replaces Ian Hickson who has assumed the newly-created position of president of the Southern Europe and Africa division of CSC's European Group.
Mitchener joined CSC through its 1996 acquisition of Continuum, where he was a director of marketing, sales and service for the European region. At CSC, Mitchener developed and will continue to lead a global strategic account programme for the vendor's financial services clients.
Before joining Continuum in 1992, he was head of systems for AIG's Life and Pensions operations in Europe.
