UK-based Level Four says the ATM Developer module will enable the bank to design and customise ATM content, while the ATM Simulator component connects as a virtual cash machine into an existing host system for testing purposes.

The EMV FastTrack application will be used to upgrade DnB's cash machine network to the EMV standard. The module allows users to manage smart card testing from a desktop PC - rather than having to conduct manual testing - and simulates a real ATM environment and all potential interactions with the host system and payment switch.

Knut Elnan, ATM product manager, Den norske Bank, says: "We want to provide our customers with value-added services at the ATM and are looking to deploy new functions that support EMV smart cards.

"Preparing our ATM networks to support this new functionality is made much simpler with Level Four's products."

The bank is Level Four's first European customer based outside of the UK.
