California-based FutureTrade Technologies has appointed Richard Gerbasi as senior product manager and Sara O'Meara as West Coast account manager.
Gerbasi spent several years at Reuters in product management roles, most recently holding the position of product manager for Instinet's Trading Portal. Prior to this he also held key roles at the Walt Disney Company in both software development and process improvement.
In his new role, Gerbasi will be responsible for the FutureTrade platform and will be reporting to Jim Nicol, executive vice president, product development.
O'Meara previously worked for Eze Castle Software, OptiMark Technologies and Bridge Information Systems. She was also a business analyst at Robertson Stevens and an equity trader at RCM Capital Management.
At FutureTrade, O'Meara will be reporting to Jim Kwiatkowski, executive vice president of sales and marketing.
