Under the contract, SchlumbergerSema will provide the bank with business process consulting and project planning as well as implementation and support services for its card management solution Essentis and processing software CardLinK.

A senior bank official comments: "With SchlumbergerSema, BOCOM can achieve a dramatic improvement in key activities such as those associated with acquiring new merchant partners and credit card holders, issuing new cards and promoting provider-side and merchant-side transparency."

The bank adds that it is looking to increase its credit card business and introduce new value-added products and services as a result of this agreement.
