FinArch of Belgium has formed a business alliance with Microsoft for the Europe-wide sale and marketing of Basel II compliance software to the banking industry.
The partnership between the two companies forms part of Microsoft's pan-EMEA strategy to work closely with key financial ISVs in specific business segments with high growth potential.
FinArch has recently extended its MS-based Financial Studio reporting software to provide a data model for banks to use in analysing the data requirements needed to comply with Basel II regulations.
Chantal Sohier of FinArch says the closer relationship with Microsoft will support expansion on a pan-European level.
