Oslo-based Telespar has signed a three year contract, worth Nkr18 million, with EDB Fellesdata for the supply of software, IT operating services and consultancy support for its new savings bank business, Sparebanken Telespar.
Telespar has been granted a licence to convert an in-house employee banking service into a retail savings bank and plans to start offering financial services to its 15,000 customers in the summer.
Under the deal, Sparebanken Telespar will purchase software for its core banking systems and processes, as well as solutions for multi-channel services. The contract also includes implementation support, consultancy and staff training. Operating services will be provided by EDB Teamco.
Stein Kolrud, managing director in Sparebanken Telespar, says EDB Fellesdata was chosen as systems supplier after a full evaluation based on the bank's needs for an expanded range of services, efficient banking operations and up-to-date self service solutions.
