TietoEnator has completed Visa's EU Consultancy programme allowing its consultants to provide chip related project management, consultancy and systems integration services to Visa member banks in European Union countries.
TietoEnator says its consultants now have certified expertise to ensure that chip migration projects for member banks will be implemented according to Visa'a regulations and requirements.
Maris Ozolins, senior vice president, TietoEnator banking and finance, says the vendor can now also advise on Visa's global and EU chip strategy, mandates, country timescales and the impact on business rules and risk management.
In 2001, TietoEnator was certified as a Visa Cemea Chip Migration Partner for the changeover to smart cards in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
