Fursman will continue to report directly to Rod MacDonald, managing director, trading systems.

Syntegra currently sells directly within the UK and serves the European market indirectly through local distributors. The new team will manage sales in the vendor's primary European markets - UK, Holland, Spain, Germany, Italy and Switzerland - as well as a further 26 sales and service agents throughout the region.

The operation will provide a single point of contact for accounts across the UK and continental Europe.

With this in mind, the vendor has appointed Richard Seekins, Matthew Gadd, Philip Cooney and Kevin Sparks as account and channel managers in its London-based team.

Seekins was most recently global sales director at Speakerbus and co-founded Purple Voice. Gadd was previously strategic alliances and senior account manager at Reuters. Cooney has worked for Pegasus Data Services, SunGard Data Systems and Reuters. Sparks joins from BT where he directed global investment banking accounts.
