STP vendor SmartStream Technologies has appointed Fabio Bianchi as country manager for Italy, based in Milan.
He joins from Reuters Solutions where he was business development manager.
Previously Bianchi was sales manager at Tibco Finance Technology in the region, which was integrated into the Reuters Solutions business in 2002.
Bianchi has also held senior business development positions with LogicaSiel and IBM, focusing on software sales to the Italian banking market.
Like other recent hires Richard Cummings and Mathias Haque, Bianchi was placed at SmartStream by financial search outfit Jonathan Wren.
