Dutch finacial group ING is to deploy Logica's financial routing solution B@Fir for the processing of all high-volume payments and transfers at its sites in the Czech Republic.
The system, which was co-developed by Logica to support the activities of the Czech branch of Deutsche Bank, supports transaction processing and data transfer between back-end systems and a central bank clearing centre.
Once implemented, B@Fir will enable ING's clients to access all payments and check on the status of any payment during processing.
The bank says it will also use the software to develop payment products tailored for corporate clients.

Logica will install B@Fir which is due to go live at the beginning of 2003.
