Jordan Kuwait Bank is using technology from British-based Nomad Software to offer mobile phone airtime top-ups at its network of cash machines.
Users of JKB's cash dispensers will be able to purchase a top-up number in the same way that they withdraw cash. The service prints the top-up code onto the ATM receipt, saving the need to find a store selling scratch cards.
The new service marks the extension of JKB's use of Nomad Cortex, the central software application controlling the card retail payments operations within the bank.
Majed Burjak, AGM Operations at JKB, says: "The mobile top-up functionality will help provide enhanced ATM services, not only for our own customers, but also for other pre-pay mobile phone users."
