Inventory Manager is a real-time, event driven, centralised repository, containing detailed breakdowns of stock and cash positions together with underlying events and movements.

The system uses the Oracle toolset and open database concepts to provide integration within a, STP architecture and has options for accessing and delivering data and industrial strength processing, claims the vendor.

Misys says the system is ready to ship as a stand-alone solution or can be integrated with any back office trading product.

Gareth Bevan, directory of strategy at Misys says the package will help organisations optimise their return on inventory by providing them with an enterprise-wide, cross-product view of physical and projected inventory. He adds: "Benefits include optimised revenue, reduced capital charges and collateral requirements and improved fail claims follow up."

Initially marketed in Europe, Inventory Manager eventually will be distributed worldwide.
