Mosaik enables customers to pick their own card design and select features including air miles, cashback, travel protection and either a standard or low interest rate.

Customers can also re-build cards by changing features, without having to replace the card. Cardholders can select their preferences online or by snail mail.

The Canadian bank points to research which inducates that many cardholders are paying for features they don't use and currently hold up to 3 different credit cards in order to have all of the features they want.

Michelle Field, vice president of cardholder services at BMO says: "By making Mosaik modular, we can give cardholders more choice of rewards and special features and help them save money because they only pay for the options they choose."
