Fleet Bank has implemented Carreker's Online Risk Expert (Core) Workflow Manager product for fraud detection.
Developed in conjunction with Fleet Bank, Core Workflow Manager aggregates suspect information from multiple sources - teller stations, back office or deposited funds - flags high-risk items, and allows bank fraud detection staff to record related decisions and actions online. The tool also enables staff to review images of cheques online.
The vendor claims Core Workflow Manager will enable the bank to improve the productivity of its fraud detection resources by at least 15 per cent.
Lou Marotta, loss prevention manager of Fleet's risk management group, says: "Now we automatically see the high-risk items first and assign them to the appropriate fraud analyst. It's a much better allocation of our resources against the highest potential value."
Core Workflow Manager is the first product from Carreker's next-generation fraud suite, which will use Web-based, image-enabled, relational databases, and other advanced technologies to combat fraud.
