Under terms of the agreement, the business information provider will transition to CSC data centre operations, technology help desk and network management functions in the US and the United Kingdom.

In the US, D&B will also transfer to CSC desktop and laptop support functions as well as print and mail facilities. CSC will acquire D&B's data centre and print facility in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey.

It is expected that approximately 350 D&B IT staff in the US and the UK will be transferred to CSC in August 2002.

Cynthia Hamburger, chief information officer of D&B, says: "Outsourcing our technology operations will allow D&B to focus more of its resources on driving growth in our core business."
