The new Amex Web site will combine the existing Amex.com, AmexTrader.com and AmericanStocks.com Web sites to service the needs of institutional and retail investors, stock and fund issuers, and the general public, says the exchange.

Ravi Apte, executive vice president and chief technology officer, says: "By consolidating our Web presence and building on BEA WebLogic, we can simplify the development of navigation for our visitors, get more information into the hands of our constituents and accelerate the delivery of new services."
