Hong Kong-based Joint Electronic Teller Services (Jetco) is holding talks with interbank payment system China UnionPay to expand its automated teller machine (ATM) service in China, according to a report by Dow Jones.
According to the Dow Jones report, talks are still at the preliminary stage, but concrete plans to link Jetco ATMs with those on the mainland are expected to be forged later this year.
At present, Jetco provides Chinese yuan withdrawal services in Guangdong and Shenzhen on the mainland.
