New Jersey-based software vendor FIX Express Corp has launched e-mobile trader, a new FIX (Financial Information eXchange) protocol interface that provides low cost wireless access to FIX trading partners.
The new interface enables traders to use their mobile phone or other wireless handheld device to enter orders and monitor client positions directly over the Internet, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from internal database files via the FIX protocol.
E-mobile trader is unique among wireless trading systems because it can be integrated into a firm's order management system, says the company.
Frank Proietti, FIX Express Corp’s president, says: “As trading becomes a day round business it is essential to have real-time portfolio status with the ability to enter orders whenever and wherever needed."
