HSBC Securities (Asia) Limited has selected Mercator business integration software to help connect back office settlement systems and meet the November 2002 deadline for migration to the new Swift ISO 15022 messaging standard.
The Asian operation of HSBC accesses the Swift interbank payments network via a proprietary gateway. The bank says the use of Mercator's Object Broker middleware technology will enable it to connect its settlement systems to Swift without time-consuming and expensive custom coding.
