FISD and its members created the MDP database to ensure that vendors, re-distributors and user firms understand and can comply with their contractual requirements over the use of market data. The database also contains full fee details and other charges associated with market data redistribution.

Michael Atkin, FISD director, says: "This database is designed as a resource for the industry and is being made available free of charge via FISD's Web site. In addition to ensuring compliance with market data contractual obligations, the database serves as a resource for new policy and contract development."
