The agreement extends Logica’s current Swift interface portfolio by including the complete range of SwiftAlliance products, inlcuding the Access, Entry, Gateway and Webstation offerings.

Logica says it will offer a range of professional services alongside basic implementation, comprising consultancy, optional sourcing of the hardware platform, development of any ‘plug-in’ customisations, integration with other back-office applications and gateways, as well as provision of on-going maintenance and support.

For its existing customer base, Logica says it will modify its high-end Bess and Fastwire messaging products to access the new IP-based SwiftNet FIN network via SwiftAlliance Gateway.

“We have been actively tracking Swift’s development programme for SwiftNet for some considerable time” says Jamie Graham, Logica’s financial services line of business director. “Our decision to partner with Swift represents an important new opportunity for Logica to offer the banking community a ‘one-stop’ solution for SwiftNet connectivity - including product supply based around the SwiftAlliance range and a comprehensive package of services to go with it.”
