Financial messaging vendor HelioGraph says it has completed the port to Unix of its Windows-based SwiftReady Gold accredited Helio Message Broker.

Heliograph is making the system available on the Sun Solaris platform on the basis of a Swift user survey which confirmed Sun as the Unix platform of choice for back office message processing.

The company says that market penetration of the Windows-based platform continues to grow, but reports demand from some large blue chip clients for product support on Unix.

Christian Koerbler, director at Austrian depository OeKB, and a new HelioGraph customer, comments: "The Unix version is important to our requirements and HelioGraph and ourselves are working toward implementing this next phase of our STP strategy."
