MKI New York invokes disaster recovery plan

Banking systems vendor Midas-Kapiti International (MKI) has implemented a disaster recovery plan for its New York office.

John Fry, MKI’s chief executive officer, says: "As is the case with all commercial offices in Manhattan south of 14th Street, our branch office at 45 Broadway is closed, with access permitted to the emergency services only. We are unable to estimate how long the office will remain closed, although it is hoped that it may re-open next week. In the meantime, the company is temporarily relocating operations to its office in White Plains, NY. We have also activated our out-of-state disaster recovery site, which is available to provide service and support to users of MKI’s Midas, Trade Innovation and Meridian solutions throughout the United States."

Support for Equation system users is available through MKI’s Seattle office as usual.

A dedicated email address, plus telephone lines are available for full helpdesk support and ECS information. US-based customers can call the dedicated telephone number on: 800 548 5660 from Monday 17th September. Enquiries can also be sent to: NYInformation@Midas-Kapiti.com The office in White Plains can be reached on 914 428 7200, while the Seattle helpdesk number is 800 359 8742.

In addition, MKI’s website will also carry updates with the latest information on its New York operations as it becomes available, at http://www.midas-kapiti.com/nyinfo.htm
