Standard Chartered is pleased to confirm that all 427 employees at its 7 World Trade Center office in New York, 46 visiting colleagues and temporary staff, making a total of 473 have been contacted and are safe.

Following the collapse of 7 World Trade Center, the Bank's New York operations have been re-located to its disaster recovery site in Evertrust Plaza, Jersey City, New Jersey. This is functioning well.

The thoughts of everyone at Standard Chartered are with the people in America who have been affected by this terrible tragedy.
