TSE Executive Management has reviewed again all concerns and related considerations that led to the closing Tuesday and again Wednesday of both the senior and junior equities markets in Canada.
As a result of those discussions and the broader consultations that support them, the TSE will reopen both markets in the usual manner on Thursday, September 13, 2001.
The Board of Directors unanimously supports management's decision in this regard.
Executive Management is satisfied that considerations that may have had an impact on the Exchange's ability to guarantee an orderly market or the ability of all participants to engage in regular market activity have been accommodated effectively by all parties.
