A pair of Brazilian bank robbers have been caught on CCTV trying to fool a Banco Do Brasil branch's alarm sensors by wrapping themselves in aluminium foil.
The robbers broke into the branch in Praia Grande in the state of Santa Catarina in the early hours of Saturday, wrapped head-to-toe in foil in a move designed to fool the bank's alarm system.
However, whether the unusual outfits worked or not, CCTV cameras picked up the thieves, triggering a call to the Polícia Militar (Military Police), according to O Globo.
The police believe that a third suspect warned the foiled men that they were in trouble, enabling them to make a getaway on foot, leaving behind blowtorches possibly designed to open a bank safe.
One of the three men was eventually picked up in the bush, "dirty and wet," says O Globo.
