Six small businesses are to be given the opportunity to conduct a day's trading from a branded store front in South Molton Street, Central London, with the only stipulation that all transactions are conducted using mPOS technology from Swedish vendor iZettle.
Each business will trade out of the temporary outlet for 12 hours with everything from the storefront to the interior being decorated to fit their brand. Every day the South Molton Street store - which is located in a prime location just off Oxford Street - will open at 9am and stop trading at 9pm at which point it will then transform to reflect the next company’s brand.
Five businesses will feature in the store from Monday 27 October to Friday 31 October 2014 with the last trading day, Saturday 1 November 2014, still up for grabs for one small business owner. To be in with a chance, businesses must sign up for an iZettle account, then visit www.12hourstore.com, and tell iZettle why they deserve to win a spot in the 12 Hour Store.
The competition closes at midnight on 23 October, with an expert panel that includes Charles Dunstone, investor in iZettle and founder of Carphone Warehouse, Eric Van Der Kleij, former CEO of Tech City, and Jacob de Geer, co-founder and CEO at iZettle choosing the winner the following day.
