The Isis Ready NFC cases can be purchased online, and will be available in AT&T company owned retail locations starting on January 31. Prices for the sheaths start at $65 for the basic model, scaling to $129 for a top-end 'ruggedised' version.

DeviceFidelity's iPhone NFC platform is fully certified for iOS devices by Isis and major payment brands including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Do we really expect consumers to pay for the priviledge of making a payment essentially with their own credit card via a mobile phone? Consumers will only adopt mobile payments if its cheaper, easier and adds value. This increases consumer cost, means i need a case for my phone and doesnt deliver any added value for me...
