US bank Wells Fargo has opened an online community where students and parents planning for college can get money tips.
The site is billed as a resource for students, parents, guidance counsellors, and financial advisors, providing information on college financing options.
Community members can post questions and talk with each other and bank representatives about issues such as which college to choose, impressions of campus visits, and how parents can begin to save for college.
Kirk Bare, head, education financial services, Wells Fargo, says: "Students and parents have a number of questions when it comes to college planning, so we're facilitating the sharing of knowledge, advice and experiences through the Wells Fargo Community."
