Glaswegians received an early Christmas gift on Friday when a Clydesdale Bank ATM began dispensing twice as much cash as requested.
The bank was forced to shut down its machine and investigate after discovering it was intermittently issuing the wrong amounts of money, a spokesman told the Press Association.
The glitch comes just a month after another Clydesdale ATM in North Lanarkshire handed out too much money thanks to cassettes being placed in the wrong order by an outside contractor.
When news of the problem got out, around 100 people queued up to get their hands on some 'free' cash, the BBC reported.
