The automated service has been designed for financial service providers to replace laborious manual operations and process, score and approve credit applications on the Internet and other online channels. E-customer accesses Experian's consumer credit database containing 400 million individual consumer records, to deliver an instant credit score and a decision to the lender.

The software can be implemented within ten days and enables lenders to apply scoring rules to credit applications in accordance with their in-house risk strategies, says the vendor.

Richard Fiddis, Experian's UK chief operating officer, says: "This latest development meets the needs of our existing customers who require a fast entry credit application solution without incurring extensive investment costs, as well as providing an immediate solution for smaller financial service providers looking to gain competitive advantage for their products via the Internet channel."
