Nyse Euronext has looked outside the financial services industry to appoint consumer tech veteran Tim Kinslow as global head of systems development for the company's information technology division.

The new hire comes to Nyse Euronext with 30 years experience in the software engineering industry including stints at MacAfee and Adobe.

Kinslow will be responsible for global systems development efforts across all operations of the transAtlantic exchange and will report to Steve Rubinow, CIO of Nyse Euronext information technology.

Rubinow praised Kinslow's profile as an innovative, customer-focused product management software developer: "His deep expertise, proven leadership capabilities and exceptional talent will further solidify our position as a premier global information technology unit."

Most recently co-founder and CTO at product development consultancy Nimbleware, Kinslow previously worked as an SVP of engineering at McAfee Systems Consumer Business Unit where he managed a global engineering team with staff in California, Canada and India.

Before joining McAfee, Kinslow served in several positions at Adobe Systems for 10 years with seven years as VP of the creative solutions business unit which developed that Adobe Creative Suite line.
