UK insurance group RSA has expanded its application outsourcing agreement with technology consultancy Accenture.
Under the expansion, RSA will roll out Accenture's property and casualty product and policy management system - across its UK personal lines business in a bid to drive growth in the sector.
The original contract - signed in 2003 and set to run until the end of 2012 - already sees Accenture providing development, implementation and ongoing maintenance services for RSA UK's IT applications, including those related to customer relationship management, claims processing, commercial lines product, policy management and back-office operations.
Accenture has also been implementing its insurance-specific software to help RSA UK create new strategic IT platforms for commercial lines policy management and claims handling. The new agreement extends the implementation to RSA UK's personal lines.
James de Watteville, UK CIO, RSA, says the expanded agreement "will help RSA deliver significant cost reductions, while providing the basis for profitable top-line growth".
