Thomson Reuters has acquired Canadian Webcasting firm Streamlogics. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1999, Streamlogics claims hundreds of customers in North America, with a strong presence in the financial, healthcare and technology sectors.

Thomson Reuters is already the largest Webcast provider in the world having acquired several firms, including Raw Communications and NetVision in recent years.

In March, the news and information group said it would spend $1 billion this year on the development of new financial services products, including a multi-million-dollar online video platform for use by professional traders and investors.
