Thomson Financial has launched First Call Events and First Call Webcast Events, two new Web-based applications for the distribution of corporate information to institutional investors.
First Call Events is a calendar of events including corporate earnings announcements, conference calls, Webcasts, sell-side conferences and analyst meetings. It offers timely global events information originating from more than 5000 US public companies, 500 ADRs and hundreds of sell-side brokerage firms, says Thomson.
First Call Webcast Events provides direct, real-time access to more than 3500 streaming Webcasts each quarter, covering events such as earnings announcements and executive roundtables.
Nick Pastoressa, senior vice president of Thomson Financial's investment management group, says: "Our institutional clients save time by accessing company information from the same Thomson Financial applications they use each day to access sell-side investment research."
Institutional money managers can access Thomson Financial's corporate content via First Call Web and other applications, including First Call Analyst, ILX and customised data feeds. First Call Web users can download First Call Events information into their Microsoft Outlook calendars.
