Fintech giant SunGard is gearing up to unveil a new financial messaging platform which it says will enable customers to consolidate all activity, regardless of format.
The vendor says its Ambit Messaging Hub supports XML and non-XML messaging forms and all SwiftNet services, including FileAct and InterAct and will serve as a FIN connector, as well as a SIC and Secom interface for the Swiss market.
SunGard says the scalable platform is suitable for customers of all sizes, offering increased performance, flexibility and connectivity. It features a single operation Web interface for both business and IT users that can be customised to individual or group requirements.
The system is based on full Java and J2EE technology, can run on any platform and is database agnostic, which translates to a lower total cost of ownership, says the vendor.
Hans Cobben, group vice president, payments and messaging solutions, SunGard, says globalisation, increased competition and the current economic volatility is leading firms to look to cut operational costs, while increased mergers and acquisitions activity has created a demand for open standards and a service oriented architecture approach to application design.
"The Ambit Messaging Hub is a next generation solution that offers advanced, cost-effective technology coupled with an open framework to support market neutral and vendor neutral connectivity," says Cobben.
SunGard is showcasing the new platform at this year's Sibos in Vienna, which kicks off on 15 September. Finextra will be in Vienna as Swift's official online news provider and you can get all the latest news from the event at SibosOnline.
