Swift says it has already registered 230 participants to the two-day programme, which kicks off on Tuesday. Of those 44% are corporates, while 33% come from the vendor community.

The forum will examine corporate access to SwiftNet and features a "meet your peers" event, where the new crop of delegates can meet other companies already on the network - including DuPont, Henkel, Honeywell, Iberia and Virgin Atlantic Airways. Swift says this event was set up in response to corporate demand.

Swift's banking shareholders overwhelmingly approved by 98.6% the creation of a new corporate access model, dubbed Score, at the co-operative's AGM in June last year.

Score - which stands for Standardised CORporate Environment - has been developed to make it easier for corporates to access the Swift network. The system enables corporates to join a single closed user group (CUG) containing many financial institutions, where corporate-to-bank SwiftNet messaging and file transfer are supported.

The meet your peers session is taking place Tuesday 11:00-11:30 in Room 212 of the Boston Convention centre.
