Spanish banking group Banco Sabadell has contracted with SAP for the supply and implementation of the vendor's ERP Human Capital Management system.
The bank is moving all of its human resource management processes - used by more than 10,000 staff - onto the SAP platform.
The project includes the implementation of software, called Duet, that allows users to interact with SAP business processes and data through Microsoft Office applications.
SAP says the system, based on its NetWeaver technology platform, will provide Banco Sabadell with a comprehensive dashboard to integrate human resource information, both transactional and analytical.
The bank will have an enterprise-wide human capital management system, enabling it to formulate strategies to manage employee operational processes and talent management, says the vendor. The technology will also allow for the strategic planning and simulation of employee costs, as well as analysis of staff retention.
SAP says self-service tools such as distributed portals that are dependant on the staff roles (managers, employees, human resource managers etc) will improve information and communication flow, increasing efficiency.
Explaining the choice of SAP, Federico Rodriguez Castillo, director, information systems, Banco Sabadell, says: "High reliability and seamless integration with the rest of our components and functionality were critical factors in our decision".
