Aether puts Reuters MarketClip onto 'always on' devices

Aether, the wireless systems integrator, has announced the availability of Reuters MarketClip for Research In Motion (RIM) devices.

RIM's handhelds provide 'always on' connectivity to wireless messaging and enterprise applications via the North American Mobitex network. RIM's Blackberry solution for wireless access to corporate e-mail, which is also sold by Aether, has made RIM devices extremely popular with professionals who need to stay in constant contact with their messages.
The Reuters MarketClip application enables users to access a wide range of financial information from the US markets using the same handheld. MarketClip delivers real-time quotes and news from all major exchanges, including NYSE, AMEX, NASDAQ, OTCBB and OPRA. It is also available for Palm and Pocket PC devices. Aether and Reuters are strategic partners and have created a joint venture called Sila Communications to provide wireless data services for financial clients in Europe and Asia.
"Aether is committed to ensuring that its suite of premier financial information applications are supported by a wide range of mobile and wireless devices," said John Shepley, Corporate Vice President, Financial Services division, Aether Systems. "The easy-to-use features of the RIM wireless device complements Reuters MarketClip quick and easy access to financial information."
