The bank will implement Vasco's core authentication platform, Vacman Controller, and roll out the vendor's Digipass Go 3 client authentication devices to its Internet banking customers.

The device generates a unique one-time password that customers use to authenticate online transactions.

Commenting on the Arab Bank deal, Jan Valcke, president and COO, Vasco, says: "With the current surge of Internet crime, we acclaim the initiative of Arab bank to depend on Vasco's strong authentication and putting the security of their clients first."

Basil Abdel Nabi, head, IT, Arab Bank, says the Vasco deal is part of a strategy to offer customers a smooth and transparent online banking service.
