The mobile portal uses Volantis' Mobile Content Framework to provide customers with full online banking services via their mobile phones.

HP managed the implementation at Garanti Bank, providing services for architectural design, configuration, training and on-going support. The system runs on HP BladeSystem c-Class server blades.

Fatih Bektasoglu, head of Internet banking, Garanti, says: "This channel is designed to offer the broadest set of mobile banking services to Turkey's 54 million mobile subscribers on the device of their choice."

Volantis says its platform supports up to 653 attributes on over 4500 mobile devices and will be updated as new phones are released to market.

Mark Watson, CEO, Volantis, adds: "As mobile banking becomes more widespread, consumers will increasingly demand access to services from their device of choice."
