UK online payment services provider SecureTrading has recruited former Barclaycard MD Gerald Kitchen as its new chief executive officer.
Eastablished in 1997 SecureTrading develops and supplies technology that enables companies to accept credit, debit and other payments online.
In his new role Kitchen will be responsible for developing SecureTrading's core business and future expansion, including the development of new services, including m-payments processing.
Kitchen was most recently managing director of Barclaycard Business where he was responsible for the commercial cards and partnerships units.
He joined the card issuer in March 2004 as the IT and operations director for Barclaycard Business and was apppointed managing director of the unit in September 2005.
Prior to working to joining Barclaycard Business, Kitchen worked at South Africa's Nedbank where he was head of the firm's cards business.
