Standard Chartered Bank has signed a multi-year contract with Euronet Worldwide for the management of its ATM network and provision of card management services across its operations in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Under the global master services agreement Euronet will provide tailored servicers to the bank on a country by country basis from its data centres in Bahrain, China, India and Indonesia.
The vendor already works with Standard Chartered in ten countries and has recently finalised service arrangements with the bank's Qatar, India and UAE operations. Euronet says the new global contract could potentially result in it providing ATM management services in 15 additional countries over the next two years.
Michael Brown, chairman, CEO and president, Euronet says the deal "will enable Standard Chartered Bank to rapidly address ATM network expansion, compliance requirements and provide new transaction functionalities across multiple countries".
