Spanish banking group Caixanova has signed a 10-year IT outsourcing contract, worth EUR70 million, with IBM.
Under the agreement IBM will manage the savings bank's central IT infrastructure and provide business continuity and backup recovery services.
The deal covers more than 3600 workstations, 400 ATMs and 17,000 dataphones at Caixanova, says IBM.
Caixanova expects the deal to reduce and control IT platform management costs by 30% over the duration of the contract.
