Finexpo, the leading London conference and technology exhibition for City investment professionals, is set to celebrate its fifth anniversary with a move to a new venue in an effort to cater for rising delegate numbers.
After four successful years at Cabot Hall in Canary Wharf, Finexpo 2007 is relocating to the heart of the City at the Brewery on Chiswell Street. The move follows a sold-out exhibition floor and standing room-only seminar sessions at last year’s event and reflects delegate feedback for a larger venue.
While the format remains largely unchanged – comprising free entry for business decision-makers and IT professionals from capital markets institutions and investment banks – the larger venue affords an opportunity to add further value by extending seminar sessions, and offering more intimate roundtable discussions and satellite spin-off events.
As ever, the event will map out the key focus areas for financial market participants over the coming year, with particular emphasis on algorithmic trading strategies, front office execution and exchange integration, risk management and compliance, and high performance computing. This year’s show will additionally feature a fourth special-interest seminar stream, devoted to issues surrounding the forthcoming introduction of the EC’s Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID).
