US compliance management outfit Mathon Systems is working with Google to integrate its flagship risk management technology, Mathon Integral, with the Internet search service.
Mathon Systems produces technology for managing unstructured documents - such as spreadsheets, PDFs and e-mails - for compliance purposes.
The information risk management firm has joined Google's enterprise professional programme and will integrate Mathon Integral with the Google search appliance.
Commenting on the move, Mathon Systems CEO Angus McDonald says: "By combining Google enterprise search with Mathon Integral, customers get the power of Google indexing with the absolute certainty Mathon metadata provides - knowing where, when and how every critical document resides or is changed in the enterprise.
"The combination of Google and Mathon technologies can significantly reduce the time it takes to respond to litigation, demonstrate regulatory compliance and ensure information security."
Mathon Systems was formed four years ago by McDonald - who is the technical founder of Tibco Software - and is staffed by former senior Tibco employees and financial industry veterans.
Earlier this month the firm said that Francis Remacle, the former head of the securities industry division at financial messaging network Swift, had joined its advisory board.
